Welcome to the Wells Community Hall website, home to information on one of the most unique and well preserved community halls in all of British Columbia.

Located in Wells, B.C., a restored 1930's mining town chock- full of interesting architecture and fascinating galleries, the Wells Community Hall is an architecturally unique building featuring carpenter gothic detailing with interior finishes of fine edge-grain Douglas Fir.

The hall was constructed in 1938, and the interior of the building retains its unique charm. Finished in beveled donacona board with fine edge-grain fir trim.

The building is very large - 15,969 square feet. The main floor includes a large gymnasium with bleacher seating, entrance lobby, offices, bar, and storage rooms, and a proscenium arch, raked stage with dressing rooms.

The recently refinished downstairs -- 7537 square feet -- includes men’s and women’s handicap accessible washrooms, a fully operational kitchen with two stoves and industrial fridge. There are two breakaway rooms, a large banquet/meeting room and storage areas.

There is also a large mezzanine across the top floor of the front of the building that was originally a reading and billiards room, but has more recently been converted to a ballet studio, complete with balancing bars and full-size mirrors.
